Cookie policy
This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Frameboard uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy and applies to myframeboard.app, myframeboard.io, frameboard.co.uk and their subdomains.
We deliberately keep our cookie footprint small. We do not run third-party advertising, cross-site tracking, remarketing, or ad profiling.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" (stored for a set period). We also use local storage, which is a similar technology, to remember UI preferences like the side-panel state or the theme you picked for a proposal preview.
2. The cookies and similar storage we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
fb_auth |
Keeps you signed in after login (JWT session token) | HttpOnly cookie | 30 days (or until logout) |
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid |
Stripe fraud-prevention on checkout and billing pages | Stripe (third-party, strictly necessary for payments) | 1 year / session |
| Local storage: UI preferences | Remembers sidebar state, preview theme, onboarding progress | Local storage (first-party) | Persistent until cleared |
Analytics (privacy-first, cookieless)
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first alternative to Google Analytics. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data, IP addresses are hashed server-side and discarded, and no cross-site profile is built. Because it is cookieless, it operates under "legitimate interests" without requiring a banner under the ICO's cookie guidance.
AI-assistant conversation memory
When you chat with the in-app Framebot assistant, short-term conversation memory is stored in browser sessionStorage so the assistant remembers the context of your current tab. This is cleared when you close the tab.
3. What we do not use
- No advertising cookies or retargeting pixels (no Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, etc.)
- No cross-site tracking
- No third-party session recording (Hotjar, FullStory, etc.) by default
4. How to control cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or clear cookies on exit. Blocking fb_auth will sign you out and prevent future logins. Instructions:
5. Changes to this policy
If we add new cookies or change existing ones, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be signposted in our changelog.
